How Remodly collects, uses, and protects homeowner information when you use our contractor matching service.
Last updated: May 21, 2026
Remodly ("we," "us," "our") connects U.S. homeowners with vetted local home renovation contractors. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit remodly.com or use our matching services. By using our site you agree to the practices described below.
When you submit a project request, request a quote, or sign up for any tool we offer, we collect: your name, email address, phone number, project ZIP code, type of renovation project, scope details, budget range, and timing. We also collect technical information automatically including IP address, browser, device, referring URL, and pages visited via cookies and similar technologies.
We use your information to: match you with relevant local contractors; share your project details with those contractors so they can contact you with quotes; communicate about your project request and customer support; improve our service and analytics; and comply with legal obligations. We may use aggregated and de-identified data for any business purpose.
When you submit a project request, you authorize Remodly and its partner contractors to contact you about your project via phone (including autodialed and prerecorded calls), text message, or email at the contact information you provide, even if your number is on a Do-Not-Call list. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Each project request is typically shared with up to four contractors in our network.
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, personalization, and advertising. Third-party advertising partners (such as Google, Meta, and Bing) may collect information about your visits to deliver targeted ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of certain interest-based advertising at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
Depending on your state of residence (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising, and limit the use of sensitive personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@remodly.com. We will respond within 45 days.
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including encryption in transit and at rest) to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, but we work to limit access to authorized personnel and to detect, prevent, and respond to potential incidents.
Our services are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact privacy@remodly.com and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on our site.
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other state residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" of personal information and the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and equivalent state laws.
When you submit a project request, we share your name, project ZIP, project type, scope, budget range, and contact details with up to four independent local contractor partners so they can contact you with quotes. Under CCPA/CPRA this transfer of personal information for value may qualify as a “sale.” We also use cookies and pixels from third-party advertising platforms (Google, Meta, Bing) which may qualify as “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not sell or share information for behavioral advertising about consumers we know are under 16.
You have four ways to exercise your right to opt out of sale and sharing:
To protect you from fraudulent requests, we may ask you to confirm information you previously provided to Remodly (such as the email or phone number used when submitting a project request) before processing your opt-out. We will not ask you to create an account just to submit a request.
You may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide written permission signed by you and to verify the agent’s own identity before we process the request.
We will not deny you our services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level or quality of service because you exercised any privacy right, including the right to opt out of sale or sharing.
Opens your email client with a pre-filled request. We respond within 15 business days.
For questions about this Privacy Policy or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@remodly.com or by mail at Remodly, Privacy Office, United States.
